FAQS

because we know you've got questions

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

First, take a breath. I promise, we aren’t scary. Imagine traditional physical therapy, but so much better. Plus the added benefit of incorporating a group of muscles that is unfortunately generally ignored or forgotten about. Your therapist will go through a thorough evaluation of history and symptoms. During your first session, we will spend a bit of time talking about your general health including sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and your medical history. Next we will do a full body evaluation including posture, how you move, how you breathe, mobility, strength, soft tissue assessment and special tests to rule out and/or rule in drivers of your symptoms. Depending on symptoms and what we uncover during your evaluation, this may also include an internal vaginal or rectal exam to evaluate and determine how much your pelvic floor is contributing to what you are experiencing. Based on what is found in your evaluation your therapist will work with you on creating a plan of care customized to you to help achieve your goals.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No. Colorado is a direct-access state so you can come directly to physical therapy.
